Soft Making London: A Creative Workshop for Connection & Creativity

Back in January, we teamed up with UIIBA Club to create a welcoming space where people could come together to make, unwind, and connect with like-minded creatives in the heart of Brick Lane.
What started as a simple idea quickly became something special. In a world that often feels fast-paced and constantly connected, Soft Making offered something different: a chance to slow down, get hands-on, and enjoy the calming process of creating without pressure or expectation.
Throughout the evening, guests gathered around tables filled with materials, conversation flowed naturally, and the room was filled with the kind of relaxed creativity that can be difficult to find in everyday life. Whether people arrived alone or with friends, Soft Making created an environment where everyone could feel comfortable, inspired, and part of a creative community.
One of the things that made the workshop so memorable was its simplicity. There was no need for previous experience or artistic expertise. The focus was on enjoying the process, experimenting with materials, and taking time away from busy schedules to reconnect with creativity in a mindful way.
The event also highlighted the power of creative spaces
to bring people together. Throughout the evening, strangers became friends, ideas were shared, and conversations emerged naturally through the act of making. It was a reminder that creativity can be just as much about connection as it is about the finished piece.
Looking back, we're incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make the first Soft Making workshop such a success. The positive feedback, beautiful creations, and sense of community throughout the evening confirmed something we had hoped from the very beginning: people are craving spaces where they can slow down, create, and connect.
That's why we're excited to announce that Soft Making is returning.
