Taking over our ATIKA LISTENS series today is our shop floor and social media assistant Veronika!

Her playlist focuses on a sub-genre of post punk music that originated in Eastern European countries. Expect moody and atmospheric melodies, combining dark minimalistic sounds with the unique cultural weight of the post-Soviet experience.

C: If you had to describe the playlist in 3 words, which words would you choose?

V: Nostalgia & panel buildings.

C: Do you have a go-to song when you’re getting ready for work?

V: I don’t have a go-to song, but I like listening to a “Vogue Ball” playlist by Queen of Bread on Spotify to get into the right (slay) mood.

C: Which artist on your playlist would you like to see live, or see again?

V: Šuma - the duo is off the playlist but it’s connected to it as they're from my home country. Their sound is a combination of ethno music and techno beats and it’s perfect for jumping over a fire with flower crowns tangled in your hair.
